All these sayings just because you feel if you had made certain decisions, things would have turned out differently.
Hello…Can you please give yourself a break!
There is a reason why it is called a PAST.
Did you know you could be limiting/obstructing your blessings just because you’re holding on to the past?
Yh, that’s right.
There is no certainty things would have turned out for the better if you had taken certain decisions at that time (not saying sometimes it wouldn’t) but even if it would’ve you still got to move on and make use of what you have now. There’s this saying I know ‘ If your past isn’t inspiring you, let it go’ and it is so true. What is the use of holding on to something that causes you pain?
…‘Think about it’…
You’ll only be doing yourself more harm than good.
Stop beating yourself up about the mistakes you think you made. Sometimes bad decisions are made but then you get up, dust yourself up and move one. Sometimes it’s really not easy, but with effort and perseverance, you’ll push through. It may not be entirely your fault it happened but it’s going to be your fault if you continue to remain there.
TIPS ON MOVING FORWARD
1. Learn to see ahead(look at the future): Let go of the discouraging past. It doesn’t matter how things seem at the moment, they can change in the future. Your future is in your hands.
2. Create the life you want to see: Envision what you want for your life (the extent of your vision is the boundary of your blessing). What kind of life do you want to live?
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years or 10 years even? Do you have any plans for your life?
3. Write it down: After looking ahead and creating the life you want in your mind, get a book and a paper or a device and write everything down. Even better, give yourself goals and targets.
4. Talk your way there: You see these words that come out from our mouth, they are powerful. Words can make you and also destroy you. Be careful what you say. Speak only things you want to see. Don’t start saying something now and because you feel it isn’t working and then you start saying the opposite, you’re basically just confusing your life. Better still have a confession time, a time you set aside to speak things you want to see and want to be.
